Micron
The summer after my freshman year of college, I interned at Micron in the DC metro area. I was initially in the procurement department, but I became more interested in the software side of things. I started writing software for linear regression and small ML algorithms trained on our procurement data to give our department more bargaining power in negotiations with our suppliers.
This eventually led me to join the software team for the latter half of the internship and started my trajectory into software. Seeing the utility of software in the real world piqued my curiosity in software for the first time.
