A Brief History of Compilers
The purpose of these posts is not to exhaustively cover the history of compilers, but rather to give an overview sufficient to understand the landscape of compilers in today’s world. My hope is that each chapter stands on its own, but that reading them in order will give a more complete picture. The reader ought to be able to read a particular chapter that suits her needs at the time.
